Lead Data Scientist (m/f/d) Energy Management

Your Tasks

• You work in the Data Science team of the company’s digital organization on exciting data science and software development tasks with a strong focus on energy markets and the cloud-based energy management solution

• You work on power plant optimization and simulations for customers of the energy management solution

• You implement complex algorithms and analytics, from idea generation through development to product release

• You apply relevant software development standards, guidelines, design practices, and legal requirements to develop reliable and compliant products

Your Profile

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field

• You have professional experience in the design, development, and validation of machine learning models using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn

• You have professional experience in developing Python applications and web services using Dash, Flask, or FastAPI

• You have experience with linear programming and optimization methods and solvers such as MILP, SCIP, CBC, or Pyomo

• You have experience working with databases, both relational and/or NoSQL

• You have experience consuming REST and GraphQL APIs

• You have knowledge of energy markets and energy trading, including EPEX day-ahead, intraday, and balancing power markets, as well as regulatory frameworks for grid operations
