Job Description

As part of the development of its activities, our client is looking for a Lead Design Engineer to work on engineering projects related to containment systems (membrane tanks for ships). Within the technical department, you will join a specialized design team and gradually become a technical referent for the following missions:

Design & Engineering

• Design of tanks and vessels within the framework of contracted projects
• Integration of developments in containment systems
• Analysis of client and supplier needs

Management & Coordination

• Functional management of a technical team
• Project management in compliance with costs, deadlines, and quality
• Management of technical risks

Tools & Continuous Improvement

• Configuration and automation of designs using SolidWorks
• Management of component references
• Active participation in the continuous improvement of processes

Knowledge Transfer & Expertise

• Training and support for team members
• Contribution to collective skill development

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in mechanical, naval, or equivalent
• Experience in mechanical / industrial design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (ideally with automation / configuration)
• Experience in a complex technical environment (naval, oil & gas, heavy industry…)
• Ability to manage projects and coordinate teams
