Lead Engineer (d/m/w) - Mortgages Team (SAP-CML)

About

The Mortgages Team is responsible for the support and further development of the SAP CML application at Deutsche Bank. The team consists of two squads with a diverse skillset, including Application Owner, Requirements Engineers, Developer, and Release Manager.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Engineer (f/m/x) with in-depth SAP CML knowledge to support our team. The tasks include analysis, documentation, implementation, and management of complex SAP CML requirements, as well as ensuring business and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conducting workshops and discussions for the structured capture of functional and technical requirements.
• Analysis and translation of business requirements into clear, actionable user stories and specifications.
• Utilizing your SAP CML expertise to evaluate, design, and optimize solutions.
• Creating understandable documentation within the SDLC framework.
• Close collaboration with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Developers on design and implementation.
• Support of testing phases by reviewing test cases and analyzing and evaluating results.

Qualifications

• Completed studies in IT, business, or finance, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in SAP CML implementation, configuration, or support – ideally in the financial sector.
• Very good understanding of SAP CML modules, integrations, and SAP architecture (ECC/S4/HANA).
• Basic knowledge of ABAP and Customizing, as well as experience with common tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Strong communication skills to present complex topics understandably for different target groups – in German and English.
• Analytical thinking, structured work approach, teamwork, and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
