About Your Role

As a Lead Machine Learning Engineer, you will be instrumental in creating, implementing, and operationalizing scalable machine learning solutions that enhance credit risk and fraud management for our Global Business Solutions sector. This role offers you the opportunity to work collaboratively with data scientists, engineers, and stakeholders to convert complex business use cases into effective ML pipelines and decision-making frameworks. Your contributions will significantly mitigate the risk of loss and drive revenue growth for our clients and Fiserv.

Your Responsibilities Include

  • Designing and maintaining the framework for deploying machine learning models and decision-making engines.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to outline business use cases, success metrics, project timelines, and driving requirements gathering to ensure effective solution design and deployment strategy.
  • Building and managing batch and real-time ML pipelines that facilitate model deployment, decision frameworks, and optimization engines.
  • Working with Data and Decision Science teams to create feature libraries and reusable components that expedite model development, validation, and deployment.
  • Owning the operational governance throughout the model lifecycle, encompassing versioning, promotion, rollback, deprecation, and ongoing monitoring of production ML systems.
  • Designing cloud-based data architectures focused on scalability, low latency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness while implementing robust data quality controls.
  • Deploying data and analytics solutions on AWS leveraging CI/CD automation and best practices alongside maintaining comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Conducting analytics to support the development of ML and predictive models that enhance credit risk and fraud management strategies.

What You Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, or data science, with proven success in building production-grade data or ML pipelines in a commercial setting.
  • 6 years of experience optimizing data solutions on cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Snowflake, along with experience in production ML pipelines and MLOps.
  • 6 years of experience developing Python microservices and APIs to support data and ML solutions.
  • 6 years of collaboration experience with both internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • 6 years' experience in building scalable, low-latency systems for analytics and machine learning applications.
  • 6 years' experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices to ensure the reliability of data solutions in production.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in machine learning operations.
  • Experience in Agile environments and familiarity with tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of financial technology, payments, or fraud management, particularly in credit risk.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

Work Environment

  • This is an on-site role from Monday to Friday. At Fiserv, we highly value in-person collaboration, enhancing your onboarding experience and overall productivity.

Salary Range

$120,000.00 - $198,000.00

Note: These ranges are applicable for positions based in New Jersey and New York; pay ranges may vary for other states.
