To support this growth, our Abidjan office is looking for a Lead Data Scientist to bring their energy, analytical insight, and curiosity to our projects in West Africa.

Your Role

As a Lead ML/AI Engineer, you will play a key role in structuring and implementing our AI projects, which can be varied (NLP, vision, operational research, time-series...). Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing appropriate solutions for a wide range of needs (rule-based, expert systems, AI/GenAI...).
• Prototyping and deploying high-impact Machine Learning & Deep Learning models.
• Mentoring and supporting a team of Data Scientists and Interns in skill development.
• Being the technical referent for modeling, MLOps, optimization, NLP, Vision, LLM, etc.
• Continuously challenging and improving internal technical and methodological standards.
• Collaborating closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Consultants to deliver end-to-end projects.
• Participating in pre-sales phases, project scoping, and defining Data/AI roadmaps for our clients.
• Ensuring continuous technological watch and proposing the integration of new approaches (LLM, agents, recent ML frameworks...).

The Profile We're Looking For

• Master's degree (Bac +5) in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in Data Science, ML Engineering, or AI R&D.
• Robust mastery of ML frameworks (HF, PyTorch/TensorFlow, MLflow, LangGraph).
• Solid experience in industrialization (API, observability, evaluation, ML pipelines, MLOps, CI/CD).
• Ability to lead a team, structure, standardize, and promote best practices in development and modeling.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, business orientation, and ability to simplify technical concepts.
