About the Role We are looking for a Lead Product Designer to own and drive the design vision across our AI-powered products. This role blends strategic thinking, hands-on design, and team leadership. You will work closely with product, engineering, and AI teams to craft intuitive and delightful user experiences in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities Design Leadership Define and drive the overall design vision and strategy for YAL.ai products. Establish and evolve design systems, guidelines, and best practices. Ensure consistency and high-quality design across all platforms.

Product Strategy & Execution Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and AI teams to shape product direction. Translate complex AI-driven workflows into intuitive user experiences. Lead the end-to-end design process: research, wireframing, prototyping, UI design, and delivery. User-Centered Design Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions. Advocate for users while balancing business goals and technical feasibility. Team Leadership & Mentorship Mentor and guide designers to elevate team capability and output. Conduct design critiques and foster a strong feedback culture. Help scale the design function as the company grows.

Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, data science, and business teams. Communicate design concepts clearly to stakeholders and leadership. Required Qualifications • 6–10+ years of experience in Product Design / UX / UI. • Proven experience leading complex design projects or teams. • Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design (web/mobile). • Expertise in Figma (preferred), Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, 3D/motion design tools, and user testing platforms. • Experience designing for data-heavy or AI-driven products is a plus. • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills.

Core Capabilities Strong understanding of Android design system (Material Design) and iOS Human Interface Guidelines. Deep knowledge of design principles, visual aesthetics, and design laws. Expertise in usability best practices, accessibility standards, and user-centered design approaches. Ability to design for scalable systems and complex workflows, especially in AI-driven products. Strong grasp of interaction patterns, micro-interactions, and information architecture. Experience building and maintaining design systems for consistency and efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications Experience working in AI/ML, SaaS, or B2B products. Familiarity with design systems and scalable design practices. Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Experience with analytics, experimentation, and A/B testing.
