Responsibilities

- Develop and apply advanced statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data mining techniques to large, complex datasets.
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle, including data collection, cleaning, transformation, and validation.
- Interpret research findings and translate them into clear, concise reports and presentations for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Collaborate with other research scientists, engineers, and domain experts to define research objectives and methodologies.
- Mentor and guide junior researchers, fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating remote research environment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and relevant scientific fields.
- Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance research capabilities.
- Ensure the integrity, reproducibility, and ethical conduct of all research activities.

Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of post‑doctoral research experience in data analytics, data science, or a related scientific domain.
- Expertise in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and associated libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit‑learn).
- Proven experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, deep learning, and data visualization techniques.
- Strong understanding of experimental design and research methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead research projects and mentor junior scientists.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently, manage complex projects, and deliver high‑quality results in a remote setting.
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is a plus.
