As a Lead Software Engineer, it's up to you to design, architect, and implement content discovery solutions that drive transformative technological advancements. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic thinking, capable of translating complex business challenges into scalable, intelligent systems.

About You

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will...

• Design and develop novel discovery architecture systems
• Development end-to-end solutions addressing complex technical and business challenges
• Architect systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and efficiency
• Conduct advanced research and prototype innovative Personalization and Search approaches
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing
• Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience with Agentic workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Machine Learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training/inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
