Your Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership: You will take over the overall technical management for your project and be responsible for the architecture roadmap. You will strategically decide when to pragmatically stick with C# and at which point a migration to our target architecture in Go (Golang) will deliver real business value.
• Architecture & Quality: You will define the guidelines for scalable software and enforce them. You will recognize "Technical Debt" not just when it becomes critical, but actively counteract it.
• Team Leadership & Management: You will lead a hybrid setup of internal colleagues and external partners. In doing so, you will act as the technical conscience: You will not simply accept results from external service providers, but critically challenge their code quality and solution approaches (Code Reviews, Architecture Reviews).
• Stakeholder Management: You will translate complex technical necessities into a language that Product Owners and business stakeholders understand. You will manage expectations and steadfastly represent technical decisions.

Your Profile

• Foundation: Many years of experience in software architecture and a deep understanding of the website ecosystem. At the same time, you have already gained practical experience with Go or have a strong architectural understanding of the advantages of Go in cloud environments.
• Mindset: You have a pronounced "hands-on" mentality, but also the strategic view for the "Big Picture".
• Assertiveness: You are strong in communication and assertive. You are not afraid of conflicts when it comes to software quality and meet external senior developers on equal footing.
• Leadership: Experience in the technical leadership of heterogeneous teams. You know how to efficiently manage external resources and develop internal talents as a mentor.
