Lead Solutions Architect

TechTrend is seeking a full-time Lead Solutions Architect to lead architecture and implementation of enterprise development platforms and DevSecOps ecosystems. The Solutions Architect will guide CI/CD strategy, containerization, and cloud deployment while ensuring scalability, security and alignment with mission objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Define, document and maintain technical strategies and system blueprints for complex projects.
• Guide development teams in Agile environments, providing critical design decisions and solutions
• Develop Solution and Technical architecture designs
• Support agile design and development activities
• Create conceptual and logical specifications through collaboration with business, enterprise, application, security, and infrastructure architects
• Make recommendations on software, hardware, hosting services, and communications to support the product vision as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces based on solution and program increment roadmaps
• Ensure systems are compatible and in compliance with IT standards for architecture, including the implementation of specific solutions for on-premises and cloud platforms, integration with other systems, and their external interfaces
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture to develop artifacts for reuse by subsequent projects
• Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models
• Develop and refine system architectural concepts and integrated architectural models
• Identify options to solve business problems and comparison of alternatives based on stakeholder criteria
• Develop high-level cost and schedule estimates for the introduction of new systems and modernization of existing systems
• Describe the structure, characteristics, behavior, and other aspects of systems to project stakeholders

Requirements & Education:

• 7+ years of experience as a solutions architect
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field (Preferred)

Work Location:

• 4 days remote (one day out of Reston VA office)
