Machine Learning Engineer - AI Development

Our client is seeking a talented and motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join their cutting-edge AI development team in Kaduna, Kaduna, NG . This role is central to the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and systems that drive innovation across their product suite. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in computer science, deep learning, and practical experience in building and scaling ML solutions.

Key Responsibilities: Design, build, train, and deploy machine learning models using state-of-the-art algorithms and frameworks. Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for training and inference. Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into production environments. Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and efficiency. Conduct research and experimentation to explore new ML techniques and technologies. Implement MLOps best practices for model versioning, monitoring, and deployment. Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, extract features, and inform model development. Troubleshoot and debug ML systems, identifying and resolving issues in production. Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Contribute to code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team. Evaluate and select appropriate tools and technologies for ML development and deployment. Work closely with product managers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical ML solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. A PhD is a plus. 3+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a similar role. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong understanding of core ML concepts, algorithms, and statistical modeling. Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., Pandas, NumPy). Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable. Experience with MLOps tools and practices. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
