Machine Learning Engineer

Duties

• Design, develop, and optimize machine learning models using frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, and other AI tools.
• Implement unsupervised learning techniques to uncover hidden patterns and insights within large datasets.
• Collaborate with data engineers to build scalable ETL pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and loading from various sources including Hadoop, SQL databases, and linked data repositories.
• Conduct model training, validation, and fine-tuning to ensure high accuracy and robustness across applications.
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments using cloud platforms like AWS and containerization technologies for seamless integration.
• Perform data mining and exploratory data analysis to identify trends and inform model development strategies.
• Design efficient database schemas for storing processed data and support analytics initiatives with tools like Looker, SAS, and VBA.
• Contribute to the development of big data solutions utilizing Hadoop, Spark, Talend, and other relevant technologies.
• Engage in natural language processing projects leveraging AI techniques to enhance language understanding capabilities.
• Stay current with emerging trends in quantum engineering, AI advancements, and machine learning frameworks to continuously improve our technological edge.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C, Bash (Unix shell), and VBA in a professional setting.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning concepts including model training, deployment, and evaluation techniques.
• Hands-on experience with cloud services like AWS for scalable model deployment and data storage solutions.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Talend, and SQL for managing large datasets efficiently.
• Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), data mining, database design, and linked data integration.
• Proficiency with analytics platforms like Looker or SAS for reporting insights derived from models.
• Understanding of machine learning frameworks including TensorFlow and other relevant libraries.
• Knowledge of unsupervised learning methods such as clustering or dimensionality reduction techniques.
