As a Machine Learning Engineer (w/m/d), you will utilize your expertise to apply ML methods in object recognition, image generation, and segmentation of various weather data. We offer opportunities at our four locations (Bonn, Bornheim, Coventry, Miami) or remotely, depending on the agreement.

Who You Are

• You are interested in applying ML methods to analyze and process weather data using Python, PyTorch, NumPy, and OpenCV.
• You want to contribute to improving the visualization of radar and satellite data using neural networks.
• You wish to leverage your expert knowledge in Machine Learning to drive projects forward with us.
• You are comfortable with the analysis and processing of large datasets.

Requirements

• A successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a comparable field of study.
• Solid programming skills in Python and experience in high-performance processing of large datasets.
• Experience in designing and training ML models, particularly in the area of Computer Vision.
• Understanding of physical relationships and an interest in their data-based modeling.
• Ideally, basic knowledge of C++ and initial experience in High-Performance Computing.

• Development Environment: Jupyter Notebook / JupyterLab, VSCode
• Technologies / Frameworks: Python, PyTorch, NumPy, OpenCV, C++, OpenMP
• Versioning: Git/Gitlab

Responsibilities

• Applying ML methods to analyze and process weather data.
