About the role

About

Neugier.

Machine Learning Ops Engineer (w/m) 80-100%

Your Day-to-Day

  • Core Focus: In close collaboration with Data Scientists, you develop data-driven software solutions.
  • "You build it, you run it" Principle: In the agile MLOps team, you take responsibility for the implementation and operation of services for Machine Learning models.
  • Integration: Together with software development, you integrate ML services into operational systems, for example in the claims processing or customer service departments.
  • State-of-the-Art: You utilize modern software engineering practices such as Clean Code, TDD, DDD, agile architectures, and CI/CD.
  • Contribution: You actively contribute to the further development of ML technologies, architecture, or processes – because stagnation does not align with our standards.

What You Bring

  • You have a degree in Computer Science or a comparable education with a solid understanding of modern software and ML architectures.
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in developing and operating productive ML or data-driven systems in agile environments.
  • You work confidently with Python and routinely use container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes in your daily work. You have also successfully built, operated, and continuously developed ML or AI services in production environments.
  • The icing on the cake: MS Azure, Databricks, and Terraform are familiar to you.
  • You work in a structured manner, think in terms of systems and architectures, and enjoy pragmatically solving complex problems.
  • You are comfortable communicating clearly and professionally with your stakeholders in a German-speaking environment.

Good Reasons - Typical CSS

  • Work Flexibly: Your team often works from home or on the go. Thanks to a laptop with an integrated SIM card and other technical possibilities, this is not a problem.
  • Develop Yourself: Stay up-to-date thanks to our Software Engineering Academy, Innovation Days, and attendance at external conferences.
  • Benefit Your Wallet: Benefits like bonus, Reka, subsidized health insurance premiums, and others that quickly add up to a few thousand per year.
  • Choose Your Holiday Model: 5 or 6 weeks of vacation? Your decision. Accordingly, you work 41 or 42 hours per week.
  • Take a Break: Home renovation, world trip, or learning languages – what is your dream? Celebrate your 10-year anniversary with a two-month sabbatical.
  • Enjoy Family Life: Take time for your offspring: 3 weeks for fathers, up to 20 weeks for mothers. In addition, there are generous child and education allowances.
