The Role

We are looking for a Team Leader Finance Project Manager (H/F). This position is based at the Alstom site in Villeurbanne. As a Team Leader, you will report to the Head of the Project Management Control Department for the Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) France product line.

Work Environment

You will be responsible for the team in charge of Project Management Control for Trains and Passengers projects, whose clients are the Alstom sites responsible for the production of railway equipment. Under the direction of the Head of the Project Management Control Department for D&IS France, your main responsibilities are as follows:

Operational Activities for Signaling France Project Management Control:

• Prepare periodic project reviews with the Project Manager and the core team, reflecting an accurate project status at the end of the business.
• Ensure the transparency of the project's financial situation by ensuring compliance with internal company procedures.
• Propose improvement actions for all financial indicators: sales, costs, cash...
• Contribute to Risk and Opportunity analyses.
• Provide project financial reports (orders, sales and expense forecasts, margins...).
• Ensure the accuracy of financial data during monthly closing.
• Establish customer invoicing each month and monitor collections.
• Implement, monitor, and adjust currency hedging as well as project guarantees and securities.
• Participate in Forecast and Budget processes.
• Participate in the migration of your projects into the new internally developed project tracking tool.
• Act as an interface with other group departments: group reporting, taxes, treasury, contract management, etc.

Activities related to the hierarchical management of a team of 6 Management Controllers:

• Manage and lead the team of management controllers, notably by following Alstom's Performance Management Cycle.
• Train new arrivals and share best practices.
• Act as a business partner to operational staff and site finance management.

Profile Sought

• Graduated with a Master's degree (Business School, University, or IAE) in Finance.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in Management Control and/or internal/external Audit within an international environment.
• You ideally have previous team management experience.
• You are recognized for your interpersonal, analytical, proactive, and synthesis skills.
• You demonstrate pragmatism and alert when necessary.
• You have a sense of urgency and responsiveness.
• You have a strong ability to manage and develop a team, and possess managerial courage.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have good knowledge of SAP software.
• Your French is fluent, and you are comfortable both written and spoken in English.
