Manager, Data Science & Business Intelligence

Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Data Science & Business Intelligence who brings strong technical depth across data science and BI, paired with proven experience leading and developing teams.

This role is suited to someone who can guide complex analytical work, bring structure to ambiguous problems, and operate as a credible partner to senior stakeholders—while staying close enough to the work to maintain quality and direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data scientists, analysts, and BI professionals, setting clear expectations and driving performance
• Stay actively engaged in the work—guiding modelling approaches, analytics design, and reporting outputs
• Own delivery of advanced analytics initiatives including predictive modelling, forecasting, and applied AI/ML
• Translate business problems into structured data science and BI solutions
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and credibility across dashboards, models, and insights
• Partner cross-functionally with senior stakeholders to align work with business priorities
• Balance ad-hoc requests with longer-term initiatives and roadmap priorities
• Drive adoption of BI tools, reporting standards, and data-driven decision-making
• Operate effectively in a complex, enterprise environment with competing priorities
• Identify and implement improvements across analytics workflows and delivery processes

Qualifications

• Currently leading a team within data science, business intelligence, or analytics
• Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience
• Strong foundation in statistical methods and advanced analytics
• Hands-on experience with Python, R, or SAS
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured data environments
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI
• Comfortable working across both modelling and reporting environments
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience supporting functions such as operations, finance, or supply chain is an asset

• Final stage includes a take-home assignment and presentation

What’s Offered

• Base salary in the range of $118,000 – $135,000
• Bonus potential up to 10%
