Akkodis is recruiting for its client, a Tech Leader in the IoT field, a Hardware Manager.

Role Summary

Responsible for the development of advanced hardware platforms for a strategic range of products, this role combines team leadership, program management, and technical expertise to deliver high-quality electronic solutions, from design to production.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

• Coach and develop a team of hardware engineers (coaching, performance, recruitment)
• Foster a collaborative, innovative, and results-oriented culture
• Ensure team engagement, accountability, and professional development

Project and Program Management

• Contribute to product requirements definition, planning, and prioritization
• Track progress, risks, and deliverables in collaboration with product and project teams
• Align engineering activities with business objectives

Technical Leadership

• Oversee complete hardware development: architecture, design, prototyping, testing, and validation
• Guide technical choices related to embedded systems (MCU/MPU, power supply, interfaces, displays)
• Ensure product quality, reliability, and compliance (EMC, safety, certifications)
• Coordinate external partners (manufacturing, mechanical design, industrialization)
• Ensure on-time delivery in a fast-paced, agile environment

Technology Environment

• Embedded systems (MCU/MPU)
• Complex electronic circuit design
• User interfaces (displays)
• Building automation protocols and systems (e.g., BACnet, Modbus)
• Development management tools (e.g., CI/CD, version control, testing)

Profile

• Solid experience in electronic product development and team leadership
• Ability to operate at the intersection of technical and strategic
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Analytical mindset, focused on problem-solving and decision-making
