Purpose Of The Role

The Manager: Software Development is responsible for leading the design, build, maintenance and ongoing enhancement of the organisation’s custom built software and solutions. This role focuses on modern application development practices, ensuring solutions are secure, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.

The role provides hands-on technical leadership while embedding AGILE delivery and DevOps practices across the development lifecycle - driving coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous improvement. Working closely with stakeholders, the role ensures solutions are developed to meet functional needs, performance expectations, and user experience standards.

Acting as a bridge between delivery teams and broader technology leadership, this role oversees day-to-day development activities, sprint execution, and production support, while mentoring developers and fostering a strong engineering culture.
