As Manager Solutions Engineering, you will lead, motivate, and develop a team of highly qualified Solutions Engineers. You understand how to link NetApp's strategic vision with the specific requirements of the public sector and align your team towards common goals.

Responsibilities

Your area of responsibility includes the professional and disciplinary leadership of your PreSales Consulting team, which specializes in the public sector. You foster a diverse and innovative team environment to develop the best solutions for our customers.

• Team Leadership & Development: You are responsible for coaching, further development, and performance reviews of your employees. You define clear goals and guide your team through the dynamic changes of the IT market.
• Resource & Strategy Planning: You manage resource planning for your team, coordinate daily business, and are involved in strategically important customer projects as a management contact person.
• Leadership Function: As part of the German Solutions Engineering Leadership Team, you represent your team and the technical concerns of the public sector. You represent NetApp at management level with customers and partners.
• Ensuring Technical Excellence: You ensure that your team confidently handles complex data center and (hybrid) cloud architectures and develops future-proof technical concepts for our customers.
• Managing Partnerships: You help shape the technical partnership with our hyperscaler partners (AWS, Google, Microsoft) at a strategic level and plan joint initiatives.

Qualifications

• Leadership Experience: You have proven experience in leading and developing highly qualified IT teams. You know how to motivate a team to achieve top performance and foster individual strengths.
• Industry Know-How: You have a deep understanding of the specific processes, challenges, and decision-making paths in the public sector in Germany.
• Technology Expertise: You possess broad knowledge of data management technologies, from all-flash storage and cloud services to container-based software landscapes (e.g., with Kubernetes).
• Current IT Topics in the Public Sector: You are familiar with the strategic drivers of digital transformation in public administration and can assess their importance for your team and our customers.

• Management Skills: You are characterized by strategic thinking, organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. You communicate confidently at all levels – from employees to customer management. Fluent German and English are a matter of course for you.
