Responsibilities

  • Strategic Mechanical Operations Management: Lead the mechanical department to ensure smooth, efficient, and safe operation of power generation equipment and auxiliary systems, aligning with organizational goals and statutory compliance.
  • Maintenance and Reliability Engineering: Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance strategies to maximize plant availability and optimize equipment life cycle. Implement reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) and root cause analysis (RCA) methodologies to minimize downtime and operational risks.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Spearhead mechanical engineering projects including installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery and equipment. Manage end‑to‑end execution ensuring adherence to quality, safety, timelines, and budget.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Mentor and develop a high‑performing mechanical engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning aligned with Adani’s leadership principles.
  • Compliance and Safety Management: Ensure all mechanical operations comply with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards. Champion safety culture and lead initiatives to achieve zero‑incident goals.

  • Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Drive adoption of best practices, new technologies, and energy‑efficient solutions to enhance mechanical system performance and sustainability.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Develop and manage mechanical department budgets. Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising safety or quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university; a Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
