In this role, you will take over the professional operation and administration of the Microsoft 365 environment in a demanding hybrid cloud landscape. You will be responsible for a stable, secure, and performant collaboration and communication platform for a large number of users. You will ensure that all relevant services and applications are reliably available and continuously developed. You will analyze technical requirements, optimize existing solutions, and implement new features in a structured and quality-conscious manner. Furthermore, you will contribute your expertise to establish and consistently apply standards, guidelines, and best practices in the areas of cloud operations and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities

• You operate and develop our Microsoft 365 infrastructure as well as the hybrid Active Directory environment.
• In this role, you monitor security risks and actively reduce vulnerabilities in your areas of responsibility.
• You create technical concepts and system overviews and document your work in a structured manner.
• As part of cloud operations and Microsoft 365 administration, you analyze technical disruptions and process tickets in 2nd and 3rd-level support.
• You plan and carry out migrations and projects independently and ensure smooth system operation.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of practical experience (at least 5 years) in maintaining highly available system environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft M365 (focus on Collaboration), ideally complemented by experience with M365 backup solutions such as Commvault.
• Know-how in Microsoft Entra ID as well as in PowerShell scripting and automation for efficient system administration.
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and System Center Virtual Machine Manager or a clear willingness to familiarize yourself with these topics.
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing, good English language skills, as well as an independent, quality- and security-conscious way of working with a willingness for on-call duty.
