Microsoft Azure Cloud Engineer / Azure Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure
• Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure
• Architect and deploy solutions using core Azure services:
  • Azure Virtual Machines, App Services, AKS (Kubernetes)
  • Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB
  • Azure Networking (VNETs, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute)
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
• Monitor system performance, availability, and cost using Azure Monitor and log analytics tools
• Ensure security, compliance, and governance standards are met using Azure Security Center / Defender for Cloud
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including application developers, data engineers, and IT operations
• Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and business continuity planning
• Optimize cloud environments for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency

Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications such as:
  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Azure Administrator Associate
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
• Familiarity with data platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks)
• Exposure to multi-business enterprise environments or sports/entertainment IT ecosystems
• Experience with FinOps / cloud cost management strategies
