About the role

About Our Client

Our client is a well-established, growing organization with a 20+ person IT team supporting global operations across engineering, manufacturing, and project-based environments.

IT is structured across multiple specialized groups, including ERP/Business Systems, Analytics & Reporting, and IT Operations, with strong collaboration between IT and Finance. The organization offers a stable environment, modernizing systems, and a clear growth trajectory.

The Opportunity

This is an urgent hire for a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O Developer to support ongoing projects and system enhancements.

This role is heavily development-focused (not support-heavy), with a strong emphasis on X++ development within D365 F&O. You’ll play a key role in enhancing ERP functionality, supporting integrations, and driving system improvements—including continuing work on automation initiatives. This is a hybrid opportunity, 4 days in-office in Richmond. Be part of a collaborative IT team working closely with Finance and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy D365 F&O solutions across the full application lifecycle
  • Develop customizations and enhancements using X++ in Visual Studio
  • Support integrations, data migrations, and ERP-related projects
  • Lead and support D365 updates and deployments via Lifecycle Services (LCS)
  • Create and maintain reports within D365 F&O
  • Collaborate with Finance and cross-functional teams to improve business processes
  • Provide technical support for complex system issues
  • Maintain documentation and support user training where needed

Qualifications & Experience

  • 3–6 years of hands-on D365 F&O (or AX) development experience
  • Strong experience with X++ development (must-have)
  • Experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS) and cloud environment management
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps and source control
  • Experience with D365 workflows, reporting, and system configuration
  • Exposure to Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps) is an asset
  • Experience with Azure development is an asset
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

What We’re Looking For

  • A true developer—not a functional or support-focused profile
  • Someone who can work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, less structured environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across IT and Finance teams

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $95,000 – $120,000
  • Annual bonus potential
  • 100% employer-paid extended health benefits
  • $500 Health Spending Account
  • RRSP match up to 3%
  • 15 vacation days + 6 personal days
  • Annual salary reviews (structure evolving)
  • Dog-friendly office
