You will leverage your leadership abilities along with your data science skills to drive impactful solutions for the Department of Defense (DoD) focused on Cyber Risk Management. Collaborating closely with clients, you will define their questions and dive deep into their data-rich environments to assemble the pieces of their information puzzle. Your role will not only involve mentoring teammates but also steering the development of algorithms and systems. You’ll utilize the most suitable tools to convert disparate data points into compelling answers, enabling clients to make informed decisions. Ultimately, your contributions will deliver a profound understanding of the data and its transformative potential.

This position requires working onsite in a SCIF on high-impact projects within a dynamic and collaborative team environment. We are looking for self-starters who thrive in ambiguous situations, drive tasks independently, and proactively seek information. Initial responsibilities will include drafting and managing essential documentation for future analytics, such as DSAs and data memorandums. You'll also create thoughtful use cases that align with your client's operational needs, positioning yourself as a crucial member of a high-performing team with backgrounds in military operations, cybersecurity, strategic policy, operations research, and acquisition management.

You Have: • 6+ years of experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and Databricks • 4+ years of experience with data engineering and analytics, and delivering actionable insights • Experience in building and maintaining automated ETL pipelines utilizing API integrations for efficient data management • Proficiency in extracting and structuring information from unstructured sources into clean, analysis-ready formats • Experience mentoring junior analysts • Strong communication skills to clarify complex technical concepts to both technical teams and executive stakeholders • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time • Active TS/SCI clearance • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: • Familiarity with DoD data platforms like Advana, Qlik, and Maven for data integration and visualization • Experience documenting analytics processes and ensuring reproducibility • Ability to engage data owners for establishing sharing agreements for data pipelines • Experience applying machine learning or natural language processing in operational or intelligence data • Knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community data ecosystems and collaboration with interagency partners • Expertise in developing data governance frameworks • Understanding of cybersecurity data and analytics

Clearance:

Selected candidates will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for classified information access; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Compensation:

The projected compensation for this position is between $99,000.00 and $225,000.00 annually, depending on factors such as location and individual skills.
