About

Serco is seeking a passionate and skilled Microsoft Power Platform Engineer to join our Maritime Engineering Operation (MEO). This role involves designing, developing, and supporting innovative low-code solutions such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, primarily for Department of the Navy programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain Power Apps (canvas and model-driven), Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports/dashboards for Navy mission and administrative workflows.
  • Integrate Power Platform solutions with Department of Navy systems using approved connectors and patterns, implementing secure APIs and middleware as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Navy security policies and data handling rules during solution deployment.
  • Implement Dataverse data models, manage integration connectors (e.g., SharePoint, SQL), and design appropriate security measures.
  • Conduct thorough testing including solution validation, unit testing, and user acceptance testing while supporting production activities.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and monitor performance for improvements.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide comprehensive documentation and training materials for stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise and encouraging growth.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform solutions.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity requirements and data classification handling within DoN/DoD.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferable Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the Department of the Navy Flankspeed environment, including knowledge of integration and governance.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse, API integration, and common data sources.
  • Proficiency in Power BI data modeling and report design, along with scripting in Power Fx, JavaScript, TypeScript, or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Azure services and technical documentation.
