Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. The division develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and accelerate the transition from automation to autonomy. Our first humanoid, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and is already in pilots with five customers.

We’re hiring an ML Engineer Robot Learning to develop and train advanced Imitation Learning models for robotic manipulation. You work on all phases of machine learning for robotics, including data management, pre‑training, fine‑tuning, and post‑training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead research, development and training of Imitation Learning models for robotics
  • Oversee model fine‑tuning for specific applications
  • Leverage AI coding tools and oversee them strictly to create clean, maintainable Python code with deep learning frameworks
  • Collaborate tightly with Product team to drive towards real‑world impact for the customer

Requirements

  • PhD or MSc in Data Science, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field
  • Experience in training machine learning models
  • 3+ years of experience in developing high‑quality (Python) code
  • Experience with robotics learning frameworks (e.g., LeRobot)
  • Strong pragmatic and goal‑oriented mindset
