Network Engineer II

Robert Half Technology is recruiting for a Network Engineer II for a highly stable, well-known enterprise organization with a large, multi-site network environment. This is a strong opportunity for a hands-on network engineer who enjoys supporting complex infrastructure, working with modern networking tools, and helping drive network reliability across hundreds of locations.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimize a large-scale WAN, LAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN environment
• Troubleshoot advanced network issues across routing, switching, wireless, SD-WAN, and firewalls
• Work hands-on with Arista, Juniper, Palo Alto, and Aruba SD-WAN
• Assist with network design, implementation, upgrades, and strategic infrastructure projects
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on network security, firewall policies, and remediation efforts
• Support remote site connectivity and help maintain uptime across a distributed enterprise environment
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices, documentation, and technical standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
• Strong experience with routing and switching
• Hands-on SD-WAN experience, preferably Aruba EdgeConnect / Silver Peak
• Firewall experience, preferably Palo Alto
• Experience supporting multi-site or distributed network environments
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Nice to have: Arista, Juniper, wireless networking, OCI, Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows appliances

Salary / Work Modality

• Salary: $120,000 – $140,000
• Work schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Work modality: 100% onsite in Orange County, CA
• Occasional travel to remote sites may be required
