About the role

Implementing and ensuring the complete lifecycle of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) in the data environment (Ethernet as well as Internet/VPN) for business customers.
Analyze and assess the impact on deployed CPE hardware and firmware versions concerning end-of-life scenarios and security issues (current vs. target analysis).
Assessing Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) for relevance to existing solutions and products.
Deriving the technical action requirements as well as conducting quality and acceptance tests in Versatel's own test laboratory using the XRAY tool.
Identify and establish suitable CPE successor models as well as define TARGET firmware releases.
Further development of the CPE release dashboard to optimally support lifecycle management.
Further development and automation of CPE testing.
Designing and defining requirements for the test laboratory environment.
Optimizing release and lifecycle processes.
Documenting technical content.

In-depth knowledge and practical experience in configuring Data-CPEs on OSI Layers 2 and 3, ideally with manufacturers such as Cisco, RAD, Ekinops, and Lancom.
Experience in automation environments as well as scripting, e.g., with Ansible, Python, or comparable technologies.
Ideally, professional experience in the telecommunications industry.
