Network Engineer (Hybrid & Cloud Networking – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Join Avaloq’s Network team in Cloud & Infrastructure Operations. You will be tasked with ensuring secure, reliable connectivity and network operations. This includes managing connections and networks between and within our data centres, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), our customers, and other related services. You will combine operational discipline with hands-on engineering and automation. This will help improve the current setup in a regulated environment. Operational discipline includes stability, handling incidents, and hardening.

Your key tasks

• Run and operate hybrid connectivity spanning enterprise LAN/WAN, data centres and OCI—ensuring high availability, predictable performance, and robust security controls.
• Continuously improve and streamline the network platform. Standardise designs. Remove complexity. Improve endurance. Reduce operational toil. Use automation tools like Terraform and GitOps to achieve these goals.
• Handle network operations. Monitor the network. Respond to incidents. Troubleshoot issues. Manage problems. Drive root-cause analysis. Take preventive actions.
• Collaborate with the Architecture and Sales teams to obtain scalable, secure network designs for implementation and improvement roadmaps.
• Keep operational documents high-quality. This includes runbooks, standards, and diagrams. Make sure services are ready by following good change practices, testing methods, and giving clear handovers.
