Network Engineer (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the operational business as well as maintenance and modification work in the network.
• Ensuring the optimization and design of backbone and access networks.
• Monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting of disruptions in daily business.
• Project management: Design, configuration, commissioning, and documentation of network and security solutions.
• Technical support for departments in project implementation (2nd and 3rd level support).
• Timely implementation of projects and customer requirements.
• Independent communication with national and international partners and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in IT or a comparable technical training with additional further education (Cisco certifications are an advantage).
• Several years of experience as a Network Engineer, ideally in the carrier or ISP environment.
• Profound knowledge in routing, switching, and network security.
• Practical experience with network systems and infrastructure.
• Hands-on mentality and a positive attitude.
• Independent, solution-oriented, and reliable way of working.
• Team player with a passion for new technologies.
• Enjoy direct customer contact and strong implementation skills.
• Willingness to work in a 7x24 on-call service.
• Fluent German and good English skills.
