Field Engineer

Scope of Work

FE (Field Engineer) will be responsible for onsite installation, connectivity, and support activities related to Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) deployments across multiple sites in USA and Canada.

Role Responsibilities

• Rack & stack and structured cabling
• Install 2 x Cisco 9800 WLCs per site
• Perform fiber connectivity, SFP installation, and patching (fiber & Ethernet)
• Execute power/network cross-connections and validate switchports
• Stage equipment before cutover
• Support remote teams during cutover and validate installations
• Decommission legacy WLCs (40–50% sites), including packing and return preparation

Project Scope

• On-call / ticket-based assignments (no guaranteed hours)
• 1 site per day (small/medium sites)
• Weekend work for larger sites

Tools & Requirements

• Must have: console cable, hotspot, label maker, rack screws
• Should arrange (cost reimbursable): SFP modules, fiber patch cords, Ethernet patch cords
• Strong hands-on experience in networking, cabling, and field support
