Network Manager - Solutions Architect Manager [Wholesale Core Fibre Network]

Introduction

Our client a fast growing Wholesale Fibre Company based in Fourways, JHB requires a Solutions Architect Manager.

Lead and scale the company's Solution Architecture (SA) function to deliver accurate, commercially viable and implementation-ready customer solutions. The SA Manager owns the pre-sales technical design process and solution governance, ensuring architectural consistency, technical feasibility, clear handovers, and alignment with business strategy across Engineering, Sales, Commercial/Bid, Product, Network Architecture and Delivery/Activation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Outcomes:

· High-quality, feasible solutions with clear assumptions, dependencies and costs

· Faster bid cycle times and improved First-Time-Right designs

· Clean handovers to Network Architecture and Delivery with complete artefacts (SoW, BoM, diagrams, GIS overlays)

· Improved win rates and margin protection on qualified opportunities

· Consistent governance and data integrity across OSS/BSS and knowledge repositories

Desired Experience & Qualification • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field • Relevant certifications advantageous: TOGAF/architecture, ITIL/service, and/or Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) • 5+ years experience as a Solutions Architect Manager within the Telecoms hyperscale environment.
