Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems for anomalies, alerts, and incidents using SIEM tools and other security technologies.
• Conduct initial incident response, triage, investigation, and escalation of security events.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security weaknesses.
• Implement, manage, and troubleshoot network security devices such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and proxies.
• Assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Participate in security audits and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into network architecture and software development lifecycles.
• Stay abreast of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and technologies.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and system health.
• Contribute to security awareness training programs for employees.

Required Skills

• Proven experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S)
• Strong understanding of firewall technologies and access control lists
• Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) systems
• Knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)
• Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell) for automation and analysis
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
