Job description
Are you a driven Network Security Engineer who thrives on protecting computer networks, ICT applications, and infrastructure? Are you looking for a role where you can apply your expertise in an international environment? Then this challenge at DYKA Group is for you!
What will you do?
As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for improving the security of our ICT infrastructure. This means you will spend approximately 70% of your time on engineering tasks and 30% on analysis work. Together with a talented team of security engineers and analysts, you will ensure a mission-critical network infrastructure and guarantee the highest levels of availability, performance, and security. Additionally:
- Monitor computer networks for security issues using advanced security tools.
- Implement security tools and solutions according to the defined security roadmap.
- Manage and administer existing security tools and solutions.
- Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Collaborate with the security architect to improve our capabilities and integrate existing security tools.
- Advise the ICT department on security issues and help maintain our corporate security policies and standards.
- Provide recommendations on how detected vulnerabilities can be resolved to maintain a high level of security.
- Investigate security improvements and make recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with colleagues from other ICT competence teams on global projects.
- Stay up-to-date with trends in information technology and security standards.
- Keep documentation on security solutions and tooling up-to-date.
- Create and maintain operational security procedures.
Profile
Who are you?
We are looking for an independent and proactive professional with great perseverance. You have excellent problem-solving skills and can work both autonomously and as part of a team. Additionally, you possess:
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- A strong desire to learn about information security technologies and practices is more important than experience.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Network/System Administrator with a selection of the technical skills below:
- Experience in network security.
- Good knowledge of firewalls, proxies, email security, antivirus solutions, Active Directory, Azure/o365, and various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and types of hypervisors.
- Some knowledge of SIEM, vulnerability management, IDS/IPS, and security analytics concepts.
- Fundamental scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or Python.
- Basic skills in risk assessment.
- Strong analytical skills to combine data from various sources into one company-wide and understandable model.
- Team player, open to collaboration in a multicultural and global context, with good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
- With your proactive and entrepreneurial approach, you will spot opportunities for optimization and take the initiative to formulate structural solutions.
- The work location is Steenwijk with the willingness to travel occasionally, primarily within Europe.

- A salary between approximately 55,000 and 70,000 gross per year, including 8% holiday allowance; depending on background and experience.
- Variable bonus opportunity (STI) of 10% (with a maximum of 20.00%).
