Network & Security Engineer m/w/d

Your Tasks

You will expertly advise our customers on the implementation and optimization of modern IT security solutions in the healthcare sector. The planning, setup, and administration of datacenter and customer networks are your responsibility. You will configure and operate firewalls, IDS/IPS systems from Fortinet, VMware NSX, Netgate Pfsense. Setting up and supporting customer-owned products is also part of your area of responsibility. You will automate firewall and network systems using Python, Terraform, and Ansible. You keep an eye on new technology trends and integrate proven best practices into existing and new infrastructures. You will support sales and service management in the pre-sales process and contribute your technical know-how to the creation of convincing offers. Together with product management, you will be responsible for our existing security services and drive their further development. The release management of your services is in your hands and is supported by asset management (CMDB) and IT operations. You will assist operations with troubleshooting and coordinate contact with manufacturers and service providers if necessary.

Your Profile

You have many years of experience in firewall administration in the areas of Fortinet, Pfsense, WAF. You have in-depth knowledge of common network protocols and network security. Whether independently or in a team, you implement configurations and ensure that security solutions transition smoothly into stable operation. Taking responsibility for your solutions is a matter of course for you, and you want the entire network and security team to benefit from it. Strong communication skills and team spirit characterize you; you prefer clear, precise, and personal communication to convey even complex topics understandably. Structured and analytical work are among your strengths, as is a methodical approach, for example, when creating concepts. You enjoy familiarizing yourself with new technologies, continuously expanding your knowledge, and actively contributing it to the team. Fluent German and good English skills complete your profile.
