Our client, a rapidly expanding telecommunications provider, is seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This critical role will focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network security infrastructure to protect against evolving cyber threats. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with IT and network operations teams to ensure the security and integrity of the entire telecommunications infrastructure. You will be instrumental in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our client's network services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust network security infrastructure to protect against evolving cyber threats.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and implement remediation measures.
• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures to safeguard the company's network and data assets.
• Maintain a proactive approach to threat intelligence and stay abreast of the latest security technologies and vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate closely with IT and network operations teams to ensure the security and integrity of the entire telecommunications infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex network security issues and provide clear, concise documentation.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in network security principles, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDPS), VPNs, and security best practices.
• Ability to work fully remote.
• Strong commitment to staying current with emerging threats and security technologies.
• Excellent documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with SIEM solutions.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CCNA Security, or equivalent are a strong plus.
