Network Security Engineer - Security and Infrastructure (5YRS EXP REQ). We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to support a high-visibility enterprise environment in New York City. This role is fully onsite across two Manhattan locations and will focus on secure network architecture, monitoring, segmentation, and infrastructure engineering within a complex operational environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking technologies, security monitoring, and network infrastructure design across Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto environments.

Network Security Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support enterprise network infrastructure and security solutions

• Implement and maintain network segmentation and isolation strategies

• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and network monitoring tools

• Support Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) environments

• Manage and troubleshoot TACACS implementations

• Perform packet capture and PCAP analysis for troubleshooting and security investigations

• Support routing and switching protocols including Static Routing, BGP, and OSPF

• Work with network taps, monitoring systems, and security visibility platforms

• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams to strengthen network resilience and performance

• Participate in troubleshooting, incident response, and operational support activities

Network Security Engineer Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on Network Engineering experience

• Strong experience with:

• AAA and TACACS

• Network segmentation and isolation

• Static Routing, BGP, and OSPF

• Network taps and monitoring technologies

• PCAP analysis

• Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto networking/security technologies

• Experience configuring and designing:

• Switches

• Routers

• Firewalls

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to work onsite full-time in Manhattan, NYC

Preferred Qualifications

• Network automation experience

• OT/ICS network IDS experience

• Experience with Cisco Secure Network Analytics (StealthWatch)

• Experience with Cisco ISE

• Scripting experience using Python or similar languages

• Relevant certifications such as:

• CCNA

• CCNP

• CCIE

Additional Information

• Interview Process: 1-2 rounds (initial remote interview followed by onsite interview in NYC)

• Expected Start Date: End of May / Early June 2026

• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7.5 billable hours per day

• Duration: Through 12/31/2026 with anticipated extension through 2027

Pay: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
