Payments & Risk Data Scientist

We are looking for a Payments & Risk Data Scientist to join our team. This role will focus on developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve our payments and risk management systems. You will work with large datasets, build predictive models, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to drive business impact.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy machine learning models for fraud detection, risk assessment, and payment optimization.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to payments and risk.
• Design and conduct experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate the effectiveness of new models and strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data science solutions into production systems.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and relevant data science libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Experience with SQL and working with large datasets.
• Strong understanding of payments systems and risk management principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
