A leading pharmaceutical company in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced Pharmacovigilance Officer with proven expertise in both pharmacovigilance and regulatory affairs. Only candidates with hands-on pharmacovigilance experience combined with regulatory affairs exposure will be considered This is a full-time role based in Johannesburg, offering the opportunity to work at the intersection of medical information, compliance, and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage medical information queries and clinical data in both English and Afrikaans.
• Detect, document, and report adverse events in line with PV procedures.
• Maintain the Pharmacovigilance System Master File (PSMF) and support PV audits.
• Contribute to regulatory intelligence, medical literature monitoring, and compliance reviews.
• Assist in the review of marketing materials for medical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate across medical, regulatory, and marketing teams to optimize processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B/Pharm) or Science-related field.
• 5-years proven experience as a Pharmacovigilance Officer AND prior exposure to Regulatory Affairs.
• Strong knowledge of adverse event reporting and PV systems.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Afrikaans (mandatory).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
