Platform Architect - Leeds (Hybrid)

We're working with a growing organisation undergoing a significant infrastructure transformation, and they're looking to bring in a Platform Architect to take ownership of their virtualisation and data centre strategy.

This role will play a key part in designing and delivering a consolidated, scalable platform, bringing together multiple environments into a centralised estate.

The Role:

• Lead the design and architecture of VMware environments across multiple sites
• Drive consolidation and migration of existing infrastructure into a central platform
• Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to shape technical direction
• Ensure scalability, performance and security across the environment
• Support delivery teams through implementation phases

Key Skills & Experience:

• Strong VMware experience (vSphere, vCenter, ESXi)
• Experience in architecture / design-led roles
• Proven background in infrastructure migrations or consolidation projects
• Solid understanding of enterprise infrastructure (compute, storage, networking)
• Exposure to NSX or software-defined networking is advantageous

Desirable:

• Experience within multi-site or complex environments
• Knowledge of hybrid/cloud environments (Azure/AWS)
• Previous involvement in large-scale transformation projects
