About
The Information Systems Department (DSI) is looking for a Power BI Product Manager to strengthen its team, with an activity rate between 80% and 100%. The start date is planned for August 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
The University Hospital of Lausanne (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and training.
The Information Systems Department (DSI) wishes to strengthen its Data Warehouse & BI team, responsible for the development and operation of institutional data warehouses and BI platforms, in order to successfully deploy a supervised self-service BI solution.
Mission
- You are responsible for the development and operation of the Power BI On Premise platform, according to DSI standards, as an IT product manager
- You ensure the processing of incidents and requests within the given deadlines
- You ensure the monitoring and optimization of data processing
- You implement and monitor best practices (security, development standards for self-service developers, SLA)
- You manage the institutional PBI portal (monitoring, management of directories and access rights)
- You interact with infrastructure, IT security, and workstation management teams
- You support business units in analyzing their needs and assist them in their developments
- You specify and develop data models based on dedicated data warehouse datamarts (datamart modeling, shared semantic models), to facilitate access to certified enterprise data
- You specify and develop Power BI reports and SSAS cubes
- You participate in animating the community of self-service Power BI developers within the institution
- You ensure relations with external service providers
- You develop the use of the Power BI platform by proposing new services
- You participate in the deployment of the institution's data governance.
Profile
- You hold a Master's degree in Business Intelligence or an equivalent qualification
- You master Microsoft Power BI technologies, particularly in their On Premise version (Power BI Desktop, complex DAX measures, SSAS, report optimization), as well as the necessary architectures with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure
- You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence
- You master BI concepts (data warehouse architecture, dimensional analysis)
- You master ETL development and datamart modeling
- You master advanced SQL development (query optimization)
- You have experience in managing BI solutions within an IT department
- You possess very good communication skills (oral and written), particularly for motivating and animating a community with heterogeneous technical profiles
- You have experience in a hospital environment, which is an asset.
The salary class will be between levels 11 and 12 depending on the candidate's profile.
