Principal Cyber Engineer
Responsibilities
- Self-starter utilizing your Linux and scripting expertise to support and field critical customer‑driven requirements, enabling secure data transfer.
- Engage directly with the customer to provide advanced design, analysis, and implementation of our software.
- Review, analyze, and define requirements; design integrated solutions; implement Everfox and non‑Everfox technologies; integrate multiple tools across disciplines and perform formal security and functional testing.
- Work hands‑on in Linux‑based environments to troubleshoot on‑site technical issues, using and configuring the Everfox solution to deliver critical customer requirements.
- Design and implement failover capabilities and validate interoperability with other components in complex network environments.
- Provide technical briefings to customers and Everfox corporate leadership as required.
- Train, troubleshoot, and support customers on‑site and remotely.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph required.
- 8+ years of experience in a cyber engineer role supporting enterprise software solutions.
- Strong experience in Linux and scripting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to relay technical information to customers and laypersons.
- Interest or experience in cyber security practices, methodologies, associated technologies, application design and development, and/or operational environments.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, routers, etc.).
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Security, or equivalent.
- DODI 8570.1‑M compliance at IAT Level I; SANS GSEC, CISSP preferred.
Nice to Have
- Experience with security design and architecture of Cross Domain solutions (CDS).
- Knowledge of virtualized and networked environments.
- Strong verbal and technical writing skills.
- Experience with security COTS product integration (firewall, web gateways, Data Loss Prevention).
- Preparation of documentation to support Assessment and Authorization activities.
- Applying knowledge of current Information Assurance policies in architecture and design of secure solutions to customer needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $183,600‑$221,600 USD per year. Salary may vary based on experience, location, and business needs. In addition to a base salary and bonus plans, Everfox offers a generous benefits package, including flexible PTO, a 401(k) match, and healthcare coverage contributions.
