A Germany based IT client of mine is seeking an experienced Principal Data Engineer to take ownership of a modern cloud-native data platform supporting advanced analytics, AI initiatives, and large-scale data processing.
This is a strategic, hands-on role focused on shaping data architecture, building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, improving data governance and quality, and driving best practices across the engineering function.
Key Skills & Experience
- Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Azure SQL/Cosmos DB.
- Strong Python & SQL.
- Data warehousing & canonical data modelling.
- Terraform / IaC & CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience leading data engineering strategy and mentoring teams.
- Databricks and streaming technologies is beneficial.
- German Professional/ Native speaker and Good English speaker.
