Role: Principal Python AI Engineer

Experience Level: 15+ years

Mandatory Location: Atlanta, GA

Required Skills:

• Strong back-end engineering experience with Python (OOP, typing, async), with demonstrable work on complex, production systems.
• Proven experience building applications that leverage LLMs or advanced AI for tasks such as information extraction, semantic search, classification, or matching.
• Solid understanding of agentic patterns and tool-based orchestration (e.g., agents calling tools/APIs, asynchronobackground workflows, job runners, schedulers).
• Strong skills in designing and working with data models, schemas, and contracts using modern Python practices (type hints, Pydantic or similar modeling libraries).
• Experience with building and consuming FastAPI and event-driven integrations (webhooks, message queues, async processing).
• Comfort with high-scale data processing and optimization for performance and throughput (e.g., vectorized operations, batching, efficient I/O).
• Strong debugging skills in back-end environments: using logs, metrics, and experiments to isolate and fix issues in complex flows.
• Experience with cloud-based data stores and infrastructure (e.g., object storage, NoSQL/document databases, search indices; any major cloud is fine).
• Familiarity with modern Python tooling: dependency management, virtual environments, testing frameworks, linters/formatters, CI integration.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to ask clarifying questions, challenge requirements, and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• API security with AuthN/AuthZ and OpenID or OAuth2 flows.
• SQL (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).

Nice to Have:

• Framework experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI API.
• Azure: resource groups, container apps, vNet, logging, Cosmos DB.
