Principal Quality Engineer

Overview

We are hiring a Principal Quality Engineer to support major New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes within a global engineering and manufacturing environment.

You will play a key role in ensuring “built-in quality” across the full product lifecycle, partnering closely with R&D, manufacturing, supplier quality, and programme leadership teams to drive product and process excellence.

This is a hands-on senior-level role focused on project quality governance, risk management, problem solving, and manufacturing readiness across complex engineering programmes.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

• Lead quality activities across NPI programmes
• Support project teams on PLC quality processes and deliverables
• Facilitate FMEA, 8D problem solving, and root cause analysis
• Manage project risks, quality KPIs, and contingency plans
• Support supplier quality activities including audits and PPAP
• Validate project gate readiness and product/process capability
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience in Quality Engineering
• Strong background supporting NPI / product development programmes
• Hands-on experience with FMEA, 8D, SPC, APQP, PPAP, and RCA
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, automotive, energy, or hardware environments
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and reliability engineering principles
• Azure DevOps (ADO) experience beneficial
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Able to work independently in fast-paced environments
• English & French required
