Product Architect Google Cloud Platform

About the Role

As a Product Architect, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategic technical direction and system architecture approaches for individual projects and platform migrations. This role requires self-starters who are proficient in problem-solving and capable of bringing clarity to complex situations. Teamwork is highly valued, making social and interpersonal skills as important as technical capability. Due to the fast-evolving nature of Big Data/Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technology, you must stay informed of advancements and effectively implement new innovations.

Responsibilities

• Build and support a GCP-based ecosystem designed for enterprise-wide analysis of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
• Integrate new data sources into GCP, transform, and load them into databases.
• Lead projects to deliver data and projects on time.
• Collaborate closely with team members to execute development initiatives using Agile practices and principles.
• Lead efforts to design, develop, deploy, and support software systems.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project leads, management, and customers on requirements.
• Participate in large-scale development projects involving multiple areas outside of the core team.
• Design fit-for-purpose products to ensure alignment with customer strategic plans and technology roadmaps.
• Work closely with all team members to create modular, scalable solutions that address current needs and serve as a foundation for future success.
• Build the team's engineering practices in test-driven development, continuous integration, and automated deployment.
• Actively coach the team to solve complex problems as a hands-on team member.
• Be responsible for the design, development, performance, and support of GCP Platform components.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of best practices and standards for GCP application design and implementation.
• Two plus years of hands-on experience with the GCP platform.
• Experience with many of the following components: GCS, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Bigtable, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud SL, Kafka, Pub/Sub, Python, Spark, Scala or Java, Dataflow, Data Fusion, GKE, OpenShift, Docker.
• Experience with Unstructured Data.
• Understanding of Lambda Design Architectures and Real-Time Streaming.
• Strong practical experience in agile application development, file systems management, and DevOps discipline and practice using short-cycle iterations to deliver continuous business value.
• Expertise in planning, implementing, supporting, and tuning GCP ecosystem environments using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of all facets of GCP ecosystem development including ideation, design, implementation, tuning, and operational support.
• Ability to integrate tools outside of the core GCP ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer required.
• 1+ year(s) of experience in healthcare preferred.
• GCP Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification highly preferred.

Work Location

• This is a Work from Home position.
• You must live and perform the duties of the position within 60 miles of an HCA Healthcare Hospital.
• Our hospitals are located in the following states: FL, GA, ID, KS, KY, MO, NV, NH, NC, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA.
