Role
Product Development Engineer 2 – Product Development Group (Adaptive, Embedded, Computing products)
The Product Development Engineer / NPI Program Engineer will lead and manage the introduction of the Adaptive, Embedded, Computing product lines by working closely with marketing, planning, engineering and operations teams to ensure successful execution of the program from product definition to production release.
Responsibilities
- Drive alignment with Marketing, Engineering and operation teams to prepare industry‑leading new product release processes, schedules and shipments.
- Drive time‑to‑market NPI board release schedules by working with Design, Thermal/Mechanical, Reliability, Solutions and Operations teams to optimize processes and requirements.
- Drive NPI component management to ensure production component availability and improve overall cost structure of new products.
- Define and establish board production release and Agile PLM change order processes to ensure alignment and consistency across Design, Operations and contract manufacturers.
- Coordinate with board operations team to ensure seamless transition from engineering to full production ramp‑up and meet all customer demand requirements.
- Proto Line Readiness review with CMs, includes process flow, proto capacity, equipment readiness, BKM evaluation; reviews document package for data integrity and special instructions prior to each proto, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or equivalent with minimum 1 to 3 years of electronics manufacturing NPI program management experience.
- Product Development and/or NPI Project Management experience and a demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes and tools.
- Detailed understanding of Agile product lifecycle implementation and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, risk management, change management, project management.
- Experience working with quality management approaches, techniques, and principles to ensure quality.
- Able to manage and organize multiple projects in parallel.
- Self‑motivated individual that enjoys establishing processes to improve the overall efficiency of the team.
- Strong knowledge of project and productivity tools including Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
- PMP certification is a plus.
