Demo & Product Specialist

Cync Software

Herndon · On-site Full-time Entry Level 1w ago

About the role

About Cync Software

Cync Software is a commercial lending SaaS platform serving banks, credit unions, and specialty lenders across the United States. Our platform covers the full lending lifecycle — loan origination, financial spreading, loan management, construction lending, and AI-powered credit analytics. We run on AWS and Anthropic platforms with deep expertise in financial services technology.

The Opportunity

Cync's demo environment is one of its most strategic sales assets. Every enterprise evaluation begins with a demo — and the quality of that demo determines whether deals advance or stall. As a Demo & Product Specialist, you will own the day-to-day management, configuration, and storytelling of Cync's demo and sandbox platforms, ensuring the Sales team always has a compelling, accurate, and ready-to-run environment for every prospect.

This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and light engineering. You don't need to be a software developer — but you do need to be organized, technically curious, and deeply engaged with how Cync's lending modules work. Working in-office alongside our Solutions and Product teams from day one is how you'll learn the platform, absorb the domain, and grow into a Demo Architect.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and configure Cync's demo environments across lending modules: LOS, LMS, Spreading, Construction, CRE, SBA, and AI-powered workflows
  • Build and curate realistic fixture datasets — borrower profiles, financial statements, rent rolls, and loan structures — that make demos feel authentic and credible
  • Manage a queue of demo configuration requests from the Sales and Solutions teams, turning them around on deadline
  • Develop and maintain demo scripts, walkthrough guides, and use-case storyboards aligned to specific prospect segments: community banks, credit unions, and regional banks
  • Partner with Product Marketing to keep demo content current with every new feature release
  • Coordinate with Engineering on environment stability, bug fixes, and new module integrations
  • Build lightweight internal tools (e.g., Retool apps, configuration scripts) to automate repetitive demo setup tasks — training provided
  • Maintain documentation and an internal knowledge base so any Sales Engineer can run a polished demo independently

What We're Looking For

You do not need a finance or engineering background — though either helps. We are looking for:

  • Recent graduate (0–2 years experience) with a Bachelor's degree in any field — Finance, Business, MIS, Computer Science, or Communications are all relevant
  • Exceptional organizational skills — you can manage multiple parallel projects, track details meticulously, and never let things fall through the cracks
  • A storytelling instinct — you think about how to make a product feel real and relevant to the audience, not just functional
  • Technical curiosity — you are comfortable learning new software tools, exploring platform configurations, and figuring things out
  • Strong written communication — you write clearly, concisely, and professionally
  • Ability to commute to and work from our Herndon, VA office full-time
  • Eagerness to learn commercial lending concepts: what a borrower base certificate is, how a loan origination workflow runs, what a credit memo contains

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience configuring or managing SaaS platforms in any capacity — internship, academic project, or personal use
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code tools like Retool, Notion, Airtable, or similar platforms
  • Coursework or internship in banking, accounting, commercial real estate, or financial analysis
  • Experience creating training materials, product walkthroughs, or user documentation
