Project Manager - Licensing Systems Design & Execution

Job Purpose

To ensure successful completion of IT projects within set time and monetary budgets, within the right level of agreed quality.

Key Results & Accountabilities

• Manage the delivery of these SLAs and ensure that these SLAs are being met by the implementation vendor.
• Ensure smooth transition of projects to IT services at the project completion stage.
• Work closely with LA departments to float the requisite RFPs and select vendors to implement various solutions for RTA.
• Ensure that the vendors deliver as per the standards set by the ITD.
• Ensure that vendors’ proposed estimations that includes: timelines, budgets, man-days and others are appropriate to the licensing agency and RTA.
• Monitor the vendor performance throughout the implementation and report any issues (if they arise) during the implementation.
• Ensure the Execution of projects is done in accordance with the RTA IT Enterprise Architecture and all applicable policies.
• Own the project results and report the project progress to the licensing management, PMO and other RTA executives in co‑ordination with the IT management.
• Ensure achievement of project timelines, efficient use of resources to meet the project objectives.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
• Ensure that IT PM methodology and LA PM Methodology are followed throughout the execution of a project.
• Document project requirements in a business case and/or project brief and maintain it according to the IT methodology in order to facilitate ongoing support and maintenance.
• Take into consideration the dependencies from other projects while completing the existing project.
• Coordinate on a regular basis with the LA PMO & ITD PMO and provide data related to project status.
• Plan the activities of the solution implementation team and monitor the solution implementation plan.
• Maintain awareness of current and emerging technologies, software packages, project management methodologies and tools.
• Revise and monitor project management standards and procedures and propose recommendations for improvement to ensure projects are managed effectively.
• Assist Senior Manager IT Team in setting relevant standards, methodologies and frameworks.
• Assess the project team involved in the projects (including the RTA internal team as well as vendors team) and report performance to IT Team and the PMO.
• Develop and manage the SLAs for the various implementations.

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science/IT from a recognized university with PMP. Masters preferred
