About the role
As a Lead Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 3-4 engineers to ensure successful project execution. Your primary focus will be on delivering projects with high quality and within specified timelines. Taking ownership of your assigned tasks is crucial, along with providing support to the team in analyzing requirements and developing project solutions. You will engage with customers to present technical solutions and validate project technical aspects, aiming to build strong relationships through effective communication and responsiveness. Adherence to Quest's ISO/quality and technical standards is essential for project execution.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of engineers to execute projects effectively. - Ensure timely delivery of projects with high quality. - Take ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks. - Assist the team in analyzing requirements and devising project solutions. - Engage with customers to present technical solutions and validate project technical aspects. - Cultivate customer relationships through positive interactions and responsiveness. - Adhere to Quest's ISO/quality and technical standards during project execution.
Qualifications Required: - B.E/B.Tech/BS in Instrumentation & Control. - 5-15 years of work experience in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical/LNG industry.
Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with ISA, IEC, ASME, CE, and other related standards. - Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classifications, ATEX, IP ratings. - Reviewing vendors'/sub-vendors' technical drawings/documents. - Understanding of control system architecture and Equipment Obsolescence Determination. - Hands-on experience with alarm management software and tools. - Proficiency in surveillance for critical instruments and control systems. - Experience with DCS, ESD's, SIS, SSD, PLCs, Fire and gas detection system. - Familiarity with Factory Acceptance Test/Site Acceptance Test of various vendor packages. - Reviewing functional HAZAOP, loop drawings, and other instrument documents. - Knowledge of Compressor Control Systems, Vibration Monitoring Systems, Various Gas & Liquid Analyzers. - Understanding of SIL assessment/verification for Safety functions using ExSilentia, Exida, SIL Solver. - Working experience in SAP, PM, and MM Modules. - Ability to work independently, interact with customers for scope understanding, and engage in technical discussions. - Focus on process and continuous improvement.
Note: Certification in functional safety and control systems is preferable, along with problem-solving abilities, fluent English communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams.
